rear view mirror

Purchased a 2011 grand cherokee, blackberry pearl, dark grey/light grey interior, hemi, IV tow pkg., panoramic sun roof, with the 'x' pkg.

I love it. It is much bigger than my 2006 but I feel that it will tow my 25' trailer much better. The 2006 towed better than my 1999 so I am optimistic and looking forward to the first outing.

The only thing I do not like is how the glass case and sky light control box intrudes on the view of the rear view mirror. It almost seems to take up about 25% of the mirror's top portion.

The rear back up camera image is difficult to see in the sun, but it is a wonderful addition.

Looking forward to putting many happy miles on the 2011.

Someone else mentionned this issue a while ago. I am 6 feet tall and do not have this issue. Perhaps you should try raising/lowering your seat.

Also someone mentionned that the brightness of the headlight on icon above the speedometer bothered them and they put electrical tape over it. All I did was tilt the wheel to cover the it. I can still see the compass and temperature just under the steering wheel just fine.

Try tilting the mirror down.

Congrats on the new ride.

I tested a few different WK2s before settling on colors and options... and on one of them I definitely noticed that the compartment where your sun glasses would go was blocking the view at the top of the rear view mirror.

You may want to go sit in another one on the lot and see... perhaps you need a little fix done on the compartment to get it out of the way.

I just "test drove" my driver's seat. Try lowering your seat a little. That should do it.
