XZILON Paint protection
Does anyone know anything about Xzilon, or anyone currently using this product right now? I'm debating getting this on my new GC and would like to get whatever input is available (Bad or Good). Here is a link for Xzilon. Thanks.

Re: XZILON Paint protection
i also just bought a gc summit and the dealer really pushed xzilon... sounds good but don't know much about it. I have a week to decide...$699.00 they coat the entire inside and outside of the car along with the wheels.
Any thoughts.....

Sounds like a latter-day incarnation of Rusty Jones, which dealers pushed (hard) if you wanted a compact new car during the Arab oil embargo. Perhaps the current stuff is better, but Rusty Jones was a super profit item for dealers and it did little if any good for the car.

You can buy it yourself and apply it. Not much different to normal polish just save yourself $500 buy not getting a dealer to do it.

My buddy swears by the stuff, he took a can of spray paint and sprayed it on one of his cars with xzilon, and it just ran down the side...I'd say it's good stuff.

Re: XZILON Paint protection
So i went ahead and had my jeep coating inside and out with xzilon. The first day not all that excited about it. The application on the outside looks good..cant see it but its really smooth. The inside didn't look like it was applyed all that well, there was areas that they missed-but probably not a big deal since its backed with a 5-year warrenty . also it changed the leather to more of a satin look. It's growing on me now...I think i like it more with a satin look.
Not sure if i would recommend it....I tend to keep vehicles over 6 years and i though i would give it a try. I'll keep you guys posted if interested.....
