Underhood weather strip

Hello,
On the underneath of the hood near the lip is a piece of weather stripping about a foot long...pretty much right above the headlight if closed. I just noticed on mine, that this strip is only above the drivers side headlight, but not the passenger...is this normal, or am I missing one?? thanks.

This weather stripping is there to prevent water/snow from entering the air intake of the engine. It's normal to only have it on the driver's side.

FYI, some WK2 are missing this weatherstripping, if it's missing on yours, get your dealer to install it. It's vital!

you know if you look under the hood on the right side the mounting holes are there as on the left side. makes me wonder if they changed their minds about adding it to the right side.

It's useless on the passenger side as that weatherstripping is only there to prevent water/snow from entering the air intake. Makes you wonder though why they have holes on the passenger side as well...
