Overland rims

I bought the Laredo x a month ago and have just finished all of my accessories and the last piece I am looking for are the 20" overland rims. Can't find any anywhere I look. Any suggestions?

jlag, these are tough to come by as they are so damn nice. take offs aren't too common, but there have been a few resellers both here in JG classifieds and in ebay. they go quick, circa $1,000 - $1,200 a set.

jlag, i have a way to order the stock 20's new for you through my job. However, they are not cheap, your looking 351.00 per wheel. Actually if anyone is interested let me know I can point you in the right direction.

Re: Overland rims

You're talking that $351 per wheel, plus TPMS sensors, plus tires.

It's going to be at least a two kilobuck proposition. You might have an easier time finding somebody who is willing to sell their rims. I've considered it (while they look good, I wouldn't mind the black Mopar 18" rims), but I'm still on the fence.

I agree a swap would be much less expensive.

Other recent wheel trade thread, though deal could already have been completed.

Re: Overland rims

The wheels from MOPAR are $424 ea. so $1700/set. So at $351/wheel or $1400 set i believe saving $300 is good. You should be able to swap the TPMS from your factory set to a new set.

But then you would need tires (you can get the forteras for around $650 shipped). But some members may have the OEM forteras for sale as they have swapped to a more performance, terrain or winter oriented tire - keep asking.

There is a seller on eBay with one rim for $325 and I e-mailed him and asked if had had one wheel or an entire set. He said he has the entire set and would be willing to work a deal with me if I was serious about buying all four. I never went through with it as I bought the wheels from the classifieds. It took me 4-months to find a set for sale so keep trying.

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...layCatalogid=0

Mopar Parts Online website where you can order those rims.
List Price $284.48 each = $1137.92

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chrys...Q5fAccessories

OE Factory TPMS Sensors for 4 = $65

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...ting=S&tab=All

OE Tires Goodyear = $564

=$1766.92 + Shipping (Roughly Rims$100, TPMS Free, Tires $65) = $1931.92

+ Mount & Balance (Roughly $80)= $2011.92

If you have a local tire guy you use frequently can probably save $$ there on getting tires and mount and balance.

So for roughly $2000 can get you a set of 20in. rims plus have the same ones you got now for use as winter tires and rims or trail riding or whatever or try selling them as a set and whatever you sell them minus the $2000 and you'll have your rims!

This is good to know; it wasn't an option a few months back. The only price floating around was the MSRP.

Re: Overland rims

someone will eventually make chrome replica 20" rims for half the price of OEM polished. those are the ones I will buy when they hit ebay.

Re: Overland rims

I have 1 20' rim for sale. it has a ding in it but is otherwise perfect. the ding could probably be fixed for 25-50 bucks by a rim repair guy. i might put it on ebay eventually, or i might use it as a spare....but if you are interested id give you a deal on it since it is nicked. maybe 200? if interested hit me back.....

Re: Overland rims

Another question
Do I have anything to worry about when bumping up to the 20's from the 18's in terms of the disc brakes rubbing? Is there any size difference on the discs compared from the Laredo x to the overland?
