If You Cancel a Summit Order What Would You Buy?

Like others out here in forum-land. I am not happy with the progress of my Summit (rugged brown, saddle, hemi, dvd, adaptive cruise, 730 RHR) that I ordered on 1/19. I got a vin on 1/22 and have had no progress since. I am ready to throw in the towel. So, I am coming from a q7 4.2 and a ML 350 before that (JGC's before those two). So if I bail on the Jeep because I am fed up with Chrysler just plain sucking at communication... and if you were in the same position.. WHAT WOULD YOU BUY?

It hasn't even been two months yet??? Mine took two and a half months but it was worth the wait.

Give it one more week. You should go to D1 soon.

I will most likely wait it out, but I am curious what other folks are considering. I cant even think of another car that I would want. So, there has to be a few people out there with other cars in their heads. What are they?

Range Rover...its what I looked at first prior to the JGC, but since the Overland has pretty much everything for half the price it made it easier.

I'd buy a Grand Cherokee off the lot...in fact, there is a Rugged Brown 4x4 V8 Summit (no DVD) that is NOT sold coming to a dealer's lot near me within 48 hours....

There are also some with the DVD that I remember looking up....just don't remember the colors or if 4x2.

They are being made...so it is coming...

Sure, but it will set you back $27,000 more than a fully loaded Summit. Try $77,875 MSRP for that model. Not a fair comparison and not likely a cross shop unless the Jeep was considered slumming it.

You can rag on delivery all you want but dollar for dollar nothing else touches the Overlands and Overland Summits.

i agree. we actually looked at one that was 82,400 and on the way home noticed the JGC across the street. never owned a jeep but it looked nice, wife liked it and we got it for less than a quarter of the Q7, with trade.

Q7 is still a sick ride though
