anyone have an issue with sirius account. they say my esn is in the dealer name and active. i only get channel 0 and 184. they resend the signal and no change. i was told i have to get it transferred into my name but the dealer has to do it. dealer says they have already done it. who do i call to fix this?

I've had a Sirius radio for about 6 years without any problems whatsoever.

That sucks. I'm not surprised though. Sirius has got to be one of the worst run companies I have dealt with.

When I got my 2011 JGC, I tried to switch my account from my 2007 JGC without knowing my esn# (I did have my VIN and all other info). They were absolutely could not understand that I had sat radio in my old car and bought a new one with sat radio. After 30 minutes on the phone it dawned on me that I get a year free so I told them to cancel my account and I will just keep my free trial. They were absolutely fine with this and I can't for the life of me figure out why.

Sirius has been working fine for me so far. But yeah I've heard horror stories with regards to Sirius customer service. Bunch of morons it seems.

Other than making sure you leave your car running with a good radio signal for a while during setup, I would imagine someone at your dealer must have activated many more Sirius radios than most of us would ever do ourselves...and they have a more significant relationship with you. For these reasons, I would ask the dealer to look into it and maybe request again for it to be set in your name. The dealer may even have a more senior contact at Sirius. My $0.02....

Re: Sirius sat

stupid people irritate me. i called a company today to order 50 items that are 1400.00 each. she tells me they rent them. i state i understand and but i want to buy 50 of them. she then tells me they are all rented. i explain i understand but if she could buy them to rent she could certainly buy 50 more and sell them to me. she transferred me to the rental dept. needless to say i am looking for another dealer.

sirius seems to fit this mold. i guess I'll keep calling until i get the only under paid, over worked, guy that paid attention in training class.

A VIN number has absolutely nothing to do with Siruis so you can't blame a company for not being able to help you when you don't have the info to help them with. It would be like telling someone to call you but they have to guess your phone number.

Sirius will ask you for the VIN if you do not know the esn. Factory installed Sirius radios are linked to their respective VIN numbers. Perhaps you are mistaken.

Give me a call later and we can talk about it.....
