Steamed the carpet in my 5.9

The carpet was pretty gross in my jeep, so I went out and rented a rug doctor for the day. I am pretty happy with the results, it didnt come out perfect, but I did not expect it to. Alteast now there is no more soda and coffee gunking up the carpets anymore.

The pics go in order from start to finish...unfortunatly I forgot to start taking pictures untill after the passenger side was done...but its better then nothing at all haha....

And this is what the water looked like that was coming out of the steamer....

As you can see they aren't perfect, but I think at this point they never will be. (please tell me im wrong mario lol) This is just another attempt to keep my 12 year old jeep as clean as possible. Now, I just need mario to give the exterior some love.

I rented the steamer from the local ACME, it was only like $28 for the day...not bad if you ask me.

The only thing that sucks about this whole project was that I broke a bolt on the passenger side front seat while putting it back in...so now I only have 3 bolts holding it down untill I have the hole drilled out. You gotta be carefull with these old rusted out bolts, and I wasn't apparently haha

Looks a lot better, great work!!

Think if you used some carpet shampoo or APC you could probably have got those remaining marks out pretty easily. But they're hidden when the seats go back in anyways...

I used some pretty heavy duty stain remover on the carpet before I steamed it and those marks would not budge. Its rust from the bottom of the seats and I don't think its going anywhere unless they make something special for it that I don't know about
