Overland Spare with ORG II

While I'm waiting for my (now built) Summit with ORG II to arrive, I'm trying to set up a tire swap with a local tire dealer. Thanks to this forum, I know that even though I ordered an off-road package the JGC will show up with Latitudes (Street Tires) on the 18" wheels.

I'm looking at changing to LTX AT/2 tires - and the thought occurred to me: "What about the spare?"

So my question is for anyone who has an Overland with ORG II ... what does the spare look like? Is it just another Latitude - same size - but with an ugly wheel?

I have a Laredo X with ORA pack and the 18" lattitudes. The spare in my Jeep is a

245/65/R18
Kumho Solus KL21 M+S
mounted on a steel rim.

Never looked until now. Is this what others have as well?

Hmmm - a few years ago I took the current JGC out on a pretty tough 4WD trail. I lost a tire (OK, my mistake as I had not lowered air pressures enough) but having a full-size, fully OR capable spare I was able to continue and complete the trip.

If I'm going to change the Latitudes (oh crap ... now I've got a Jimmy Buffett song going in my head) to LTX AT/2 tires, methinks the spare should have similar capabilities "just in case". From what I'm hearing though, unlike my current ZJ the "full size spare" is not really "full width".

So I wonder if I'll have to go buy a "real" spare wheel. I suppose it probably won't fit in the spare well?

Color me naive -- I had just assumed all along that the new WK2 would have the same basic off-road worthiness of my current JGC and I didn't really find out about the street tires and undersized spare before I placed the order.
