Seat stains

Got water spilled on both front seats from rain this week. Left stains. Is there anyway to remove these stains and will anything work to prevent this in the future?

I have the same problem. A friend of mine that own a carpet cleaning business will shampoo the whole interior for $30. I just want to know how to prevent this.

Maybe we could try spraying the seats with Scotch Gaurd.

Its a problem with the cloth seats there's actually a trouble bulletin out for this issue. I haven't gotten around to taking care of it yet. Supposed yo clean and shampoo and use a stiff brush to break up those stains. Ill check the link and post it.

Yeah. There is a TSB. Not a recall though. They won't clean them for free.

I had the same problem with water staining the seats. I cleaned mine with Tuff Stuff carpet cleaner and i used a soft bristle brush. After i got them clean and dry I sprayed them with Scotch Gard. That was three weeks ago and after a couple days of rain they haven't stained yet.

^^^Nice. I will be using that on mine. How often do you think we will need to reapply the Scotch Gaurd?

I used to have a vehicle long ago with cloth seats, and it was a pain in the ass keeping it Scotch guarded and stain free. I got rid of that car in 1999, and have only purchased leather since then - and will only buy leather in the future.

Scotch guard does work... but save yourself the BS, go get your seats wrapped.

i have my seats washed completely. like wash ALL of the seat so the darkness blends in and then when it dries everything will match. mine turned out well and it happened again. its just inevitable to happen. i would suggest scotch guard after washing.
