Tire size with 2 inch BB and upcountry springs

I'm about to put on daystar 2 inch spacers on top of my upcountry springs, bilstein 1500 shocks, and a jks adjustable trackbar on my 2001 WJ. I have a set of JK 17 inch alloy rubicon wheels coming as well. I'm looking to run about a 31 inch tire. What size tire is a good fit for this lift. I want to get bridgestone dueler revo 2's. Possibly the 255/70/17's. I don't really offroad and want to avoid rubbing and having to trim anything. Whats the biggest that will fit in spare compartment?

Thanks,

Scott

About 30.5" which is about what a 255/70/17 comes to I believe.
Lay a new one in there before mounting but remember its gonna grow being inflated.

Any one running 255/70/17 tires on a wj with 2in Spacers and upcountry springs? Any rubbing? Going to put revos on a set of machined moab wheels. Would love to see a pic if anyone is running this set up.

255/70/17 should be goon a 3" lift (2" bb and upcountry springs)
at 3" can fit 265/70/16

but the upcountry springs could have sag aswell as you coil spring isolators.

but are you shocks rated for 3" or 2"?
have you picked up all the extras for a 3" lift?

Yes I did order the bilstein shocks rated for lifted jeeps. I ordered the Spacers, trackbar and shocks for Kolak. According to the chart it might be close but I don't plan on doing any wheeling. I guess I will find out next week when I put it all together!

Now this is the 2nd time I've seen this great chart pop up here. Mods could you PLEASE sticky this. Its a great piece of info or wj owners. Thanks.

I see it says sway bar end links for 2.5 and 3 inches of lift. Are many of you guys running these with a 2 inch budget boost and upcountry suspension? It's mostly going to be a daily driver. Also who sells the extended links need for this lift?

Nice to see the chart, it is handy. I have the 04 Laredo with 16" tires and put in skyjacker 2" lifts with hydro-7000 shocks. The shocks are definitely stiffer than the factory ones ever were but overall I'm happy with the choice. I rarely off-road so didn't want the ride too stiff (I'm more likely to be in snow than mud!). My jeep came with 225/75/16s which I changed out for new General Grabber all-season 245/70/16s. It gave me 3/4" wider footprint and just slightly taller tire (29 1/2"). Would have liked to step up into a 30 1/2" A/T tire (max recommended for the lift), but was worried about the loss of power with the 4.0L. Anybody else go to the bigger tire? I'd be curious to find out if you thought the power dropped off too much.
