WK2 Media Center 730N (RHR), Yes RHR!!!

At the dealer right now. Just test drove an Overland V6 with the RHR, yes the RHR system. Don't have pics but the system has RHR on the bottom right of he unit, USB port in the center console arm rest and one on the dash unit itself. Started off by pairing my iPhone 4 (4.2.1) via voice commands. Pressed the phone button on steering wheel, called out setup and went from there. No problems... It then looked for my contacts and transferred them with no problems. U can see a phone on the screen with an arrow pointing to an address book as it is downloading ur contacts. You can access your phone book on the screen only one way. MENU-MY FILES-ADDRESS BOOK then page down until u see your phone. Select it and your contacts are displayed. I then tried out the Bluetooth streaming. Select RADIO MEDIA, press DEVICES and select yogur phone. No problems! Audio quality was GOOD. In streaming you do not get album artwork. This has been the case
for all of the SUV's I have tested with this function.

Ok now, center console USB (drum roll please!). It worked flawlessly!! Yeah!! Plugged my phone in, it beeped letting me know that it was charging. Selected RADIO MEDIA, AUX and USB. Presto! Album artwork showed up, no problems...

The only thing I am not able to access is SMS texting. Can't figure that one out...

Calling on the uconnect phone was OK. Some names it would recognize and some, like BANK it didn't like... I would say "call bank" and instead of it asking me " calling bank is this correct?" it would just say "is this correct" and a yes/no prompt on screen would show. Leaving you to ask yourself, "is what correct???" 9 times out of 10 if I said "yes" it would dial the correct number but it was a bit frustrating.

Voice nav took lots of commands to get it to start navigation. Was not great.

That's all I have for now... I drove this salesman bonkers! LOL

That's awesome news. I ordered my Overland on 3/4 with the 730N-RHR. Regarding your assessment of U-Connect - did I read somewhere where there is a training procedure to go through to get the system to "know" your voice?

Yes there is a place in one of the setup menus that takes you through getting to know ur voice...

As reported on other threads, the issue is that the iPhone 4 does not currently support the Bluetooth protocol stack to allow this. Any resolution on this would have to come from Apple.

Wish the RER had bluetooth streaming.

Let me tell you that the Bluetooth streaming is nice if someone is sitting in the back seat and wants to browse through your music. Other than that, I like having my phone tucked away in a cubbyhole, plugged in and charging. Also like I mentioned, no album artwork on BT streaming. By the way did the software update fix all of the problems on the RER? When I test drove one, I had my iPhone plugged in to charge it and when a call came in, I could not hear the person calling but they could hear me.

I don't think you get album art from streaming but you should get it from both usb ports (on hu and inside armrest)

How does the NAV interface look? Similar to the older 730N or is it drastically different?

To be honest with you I personally don't notice a difference, but I test drove the RER a while back...
