Lifetime warranty

Question.......is there any advantage to purchasing the lifetime warranty with the vehicle over getting it at a later date as long as it's within the first year of ownership?

Not that I'm aware of. I put an appointment on my calendar 11 months from purchase date for me to decide to buy or pass on the warranty. I hope I'll know by then whether this car is a 10+ year keeper.

Those were my thoughts as well, but I know I'll be keeping it for awhile. I'd just rather spend the dough on something else right now ya know?

I got it at the purchase. After we complete the deal, he stated that the lifetime was to disappear last year but they extended it for an unknown period of time. He seem to think it would not be around to much longer. He had nothing to gain at that time with those comments since I had already bought it.

And like anything else, prices and conditions can change. I think if you want it, get it now to lock it in.

I got the maxcare and since I have that I guess I'm supposed to be given a loaner for service in way of a rental, which was convenient for me at a place that didn't have loaners. So that was a benefit of getting the warranty now...

I think your good if you stay below 12 months/12K miles. I hope that the lifetime warranty doesn't go. As long as I drive as many miles as I drive..... the only way I'm going to be in a Chrysler product is if they have that warranty.

Your only really saving $250 by getting it within the first year 12K miles. Unless you want to finance it with the car, just wait and purchase it before the 3/36. That way you are making interest on that money versus Chrysler. I am waiting right before my 3/36 expires if I even keep it that long.

Re: Lifetime warranty

I must be missing something... looking into the Lifetime Warranty, there seems to be a maximum coverage term of 7 years/100,000 miles, whichever comes up first. How is that "Lifetime"? Reading the fine print, it looks like the coverage expires as soon as we hit these limits.
