WTH is wrong with my jeep?

OK guys, the past coupla months, with the past few weeks getting more constant, my car will hesitate? (i think thats a good word for it) i really cant explain it, it will go then slow then go, etc until i mash the pedal...anyone have any idea what the problem is? thanks!

What do the RPM's do? SO when your pressing the pedal it doesn't do much? Maybe the Throttle Cable is getting stuck?

no it feels like the car is going back and forth...its either around 1500 or 2500, i'll let you know tomorrow, and most of the time it is when going up a hill

Chrysler mechanics refer to it as "surging". There is a TSB for it. Mine did it. But then they flashed the PCM. Hasn't done it since. It's not a big problem.

I had 97 dodge 4x4 truck that did the same thing. Going back & forth (surging) just when i would go up hills. It was like riding a bucking horse & it was aroud 1500 or 2500 was like it was tryin to lose power. took it to a couple of mechanics they said it was my o2 sensor. I didn't belive them but i went ahead & changed it. & i'll be damn it never did it again. Not saying that could be the problem but it might be worth checking.

I went for a trans fluid change and I think......hell I don't know. Lol. I just paid. I think I paid just over $200 with the fluid change. They updated multiple stuff but only charged me for one flash though I think. That's the vibe I got from the mechanic.

The dealer I go to are pretty cheap. They only charge ~$70 an hour.

But I had the same problem you did.

The surge is in between 30-45 mph at about 1,400 rpm's

Is there any warning lights, specifically the one that looks like a lightning bolt? Mine did something similar a while back. Turned out to be the throttle.
