Amping

Is there any type/brand of amp to use if I want to run my speakers and sub off the same amp? Or is it best to run two different amps?

You can run an amp that will handle both speakers and sub depending on how many speakers you are going to drive with it. There are 5 channel amps for driving 4 speakers and a sub. I have always prefered a separate amp for sub and speakers.

Brand wise you need to choose what sounds best to you and is dependent on your budget. with more details like budget, speakers and type of music listened too recommendations could be better.

Personally Id go with two seperate amps.

1 mono for the sub, and a 4 channel for the speakers.

Well I currently have a Jenson 900 watt mono that I was using for my 12 Kicker Cvr. Is that too much amp for that sub? Never had any issues with it.

What would be a decent somewhat inexpensive amp if I wanted to run the Kicker upgrade speakers? I'm looking for clarity and good sound quality as well as durability because I do like to crank it up every once in a while.
