HELP! Saddle finish wearing off.

1 Attachment(s)
I've got 2000 miles on my Overland White/Saddle and I've noticed that on the driver's left edge of my seat, the finish seems to be "rubbing" off. Granted, I do sometimes "slide" into the seat, but I would not think this would wear so quickly. I'm 200 lbs. Has anyone else noticed this happening. Honestly, I don't know if it was that way to start. I will try to include pics later. Thanks

Sounds like a warranty issue to me. Just take it to the dealership

not cool... I could see that happening 50,000+ miles and several years down the line, but not now! I'd demand they replace the entire seat.

Are these seats analine leather like the older Ford King Ranch seats? If so they may just need some conditioner. I drive an 06 King Ranch and the seats can lighten when they get dry. I use the conditioner from the King Ranch Saddle Shop and they are good as new.

That looks like scratching of the leather, not wearing off. Sure your buttons are not rubbing this part getting in and out?

+1, i saw a new saddle interior in a showroom earlier this week and my first impression is that the saddle overall looked dry. or worse case, the dye looked like it was shallow if that makes sense.

It sucks, but is an easy fix. My C300 had cracks in the leather. They ordered a new leather cover and once it came in, they retrofitted it. Now my card didn't have ventilated seats, so not sure how they do it. Perhaps an entire new seat? If so, it's a 1hr fix at the most when it comes in.
