21.6 mpg highway - HEMI

3800 miles on the odometer ... first long trip (Detroit to St. Louis) ... got 21.6 mpg with Hemi. No tree hugger is going to come and congratulate me, but it sure feels better than the sticker's rating of 17!

How hard were you trying to eek out MPG's?

That's great to hear! Speeds you cruised, were you driving to save fuel or normal highway driving? Was that your Avg down to St Louis or Round Trip?

I'm enjoying the same highway MPG. In mixed driving conditions, I get 18 - 19 consistently but I have to say I don't do much stop & go. The picture is pretty typical.

I wish i could get 20 mpg. I get 12-13 in my truck. My mom who has a prius started complaining that her mpg's went down from 43 to 39 I laughfed in her face.

Yesterday is was 58 degrees, 73 mph on the Interstate = 18.8 mpg, continued at 60 mph on primary road = 20 mpg. My best ever. Have 6,000 miles on the clock and shod with snow tires. Looking forward to the "Lattitudes" on it and then check the mpg.

Constant 68 mph on cruise control in Ohio (I saw more cops in OH in three hours than in 5 months in MI), then 75 mph on cruise control all through IN and IL on US 70 west. 21.6 mpg was the average for the trip until hitting rush hour traffic in STL. Still did plenty of downshift passing along the way ... no real attempt to conserve other than using cruise. Mid grade fuel per manual recommendation. The average actually climbed as I increased speed. Return trip on Monday ... think I'll see what I get at 80 mph this time and skip OH :D

Was this the actual calculated MPG or what the display showed? My display is consistently optimistic.

Umm that pic shows that you are using 20.7 galons of fuel for every 100 miles of driving........
