Overland delivery check list?

I found an Overland at an out of state dealer and am having the local dealer fetch it so I can buy it from him. Is there a check list or procedure I need to follow to assure I'm getting all the documentation and accessories that come with the vehicle? I'm thinking along the lines of navigation map disc, mats, cargo net, owner's manual, etc. What about any special dealer prep I should look for?
Any advice would be appreciated.
thanks
:D

Change your screen name to "Hot Blonde" - nobody wants to help a "rich guy" out :p

LOL... So true.

I am trying to put together a list of all (so little) stuff that I received.
I used my build sheet as an inventory as we walked through the vehicle but it does not cover all the little things. Make sure you ask for anything that is on your build sheet that you do not receive like the IPod interface cable.

I think there is a place on this group you can request a build/option sheet. I got mine from a friend at a different dealership as the dealer I was dealing with did not want to provide one to me.

Once I get the list together I will post what I received.

The build sheet should be in the vehicle when it arrives; it isn't a matter of the dealer making you one, it's a matter of them not tossing it out.

The one I bought had the sheet in the glove box when I test drove it, but as part of the sale prep they tossed both the sheet and the window sticker (I like to have the sticker, but got the sheet from Milous).

Yeah, just look it over, make sure it has everything you think it ought to have. Specific items to check would be the engine (if you ordered the Hemi, make sure it's in there), the media center/nav system, etc. Ensure there aren't any dings or scratches.

I didn't get a build sheet but did get my window sticker (which I always keep) which had Donald instead of Daniel as who it was built for LOL. Oh well.

I'm pretty sure I got everything but I didn't get an iPod interface cable with my RHR...was I supposed to? I did get the hitch trailer brake wiring thingy... I also did not get a front license plate bracket....don't need it but got one on my last GC and kept it for when I sell my GC later in case the buyer needs a front plate bracket.

Donald, ooops Dan, I did not get the plate frame and mount. It is required in WI and CA so I have asked for mine as well as for the Ipod cable which should be there. You may still be able to get your build sheet which is good to have as it has the build codes for each of the parts which will also help with when you want to list it later. I found the window sticker does not always match what is there.

For the H3 I just traded they were laughing at me because I had the window sticker, all labels that were still on the vehicle when delivered as well as the build sheet. I also always keep track of every drop of gass, oil, tire inflations, services and anything else that I do to my vehicles, I had the log book which they all though was funny. I will be doing the same for this one as well. I like to keep details of the MPG and other factors plus I am OCD... lol

I figure for the money spent I am getting every screw, bolt or cable owed me.

So there was supposed to be an iPod cable??? Can anyone answer that with certainty?

The only extras I got were the Jeep rubber trailer hitch cover, the braking wire harness thing for the hitch, and the cargo net. No front license plate bracket and no iPod cable if they were supposed to be there.

Same here. And I read somewhere that there is no front license plate bracket even available. The plate just mounts directly to the bumper cover, which is what my dealer did with a paper tag and plastic frame.

You should've gotten a cable to connect your iPod.

My build paper calls out the plate frame and the dealer has promised (in writing) to provide the frame and the cable within the next two weeks. She said they normally only include the frame for people who are in WI or CA where it is required to have a front plate. She could be wrong.. they have been on a few other things...

I know this comes with the RER but I have looked at a few on lots with the RHR, and I didn't see a cable anywhere with them. Think you can just use the standard USB to iPod cable.
