Peeling Chrome
I have a 2004 Limited Grand Cherokee that has the 17" Chrome wheels and the chrome has started peeling on the inside of them and now is starting to on the outside. Has anyone else had this problem? And if so what did you do?

Re: Peeling Chrome
Yes it happens. , no way to avoid it and jeeps chrome wheels known for it. Happens on all chrome wheels eventually especially in harsh climates with salt. I am in the process of replacing all my rogue chrome wheels off my 2001 wj for the same reason. I have 90k on them. I live in the Chicago area.

Re: Peeling Chrome
Be glad it took 7 years to start to peel! That's excellent actually!
And it's not just Jeep, believe me. My brother in law is losing air in 3 out of 4 wheels on his 06 Pontiac G6 due to corrosion from salt.
Keep the next set as clean as you can...there really isn't much else you can do man.

Re: Peeling Chrome
its common with all chrome wheels.
can look for a used set of alloy wheels that wont peal but are not shiny.
any wheel that is a 5x5 bolt pattern will work. all grand Cherokees 1999-2010 will work.

if any of you looking to sell your old wheels pm me
