Paint Question, know what color primer is under silver ?
 
getting ready to get paint the spoiler, side panels, mirrors, washer nozzles and whatever else I think of ;) wondering if you guys know what color primer is under the silver ?

most primers are gray. at the body shop i work at all we use is gray and that would be the best color for silver anyway

It's definitely gray. I've seen it on my own bright silver metallic '05 WK when revealed by a rock chip.

excellent thanks guys ;) and no primer is not always gray ;) I used black on the flat black bike i painted for a customer so that if it chipped it would not be obvious...

MOST primer's are grey. The user's above stated that.

don't get excited WC :) angryminnow asked if all primers where grey,just answering his question ;) but when i goto the paint supply house i can get red, grey and black....

i'm using grey on the current bike project, on this it doesn't matter because it's gonna get a black base, airbrushed artwork, misting of silver metalflake then a few layers of dark green candy and lots of clear ;)
