Questions about performance chips and tuning.

I'm new to all of this....I've been reading up on tuning and adding chips.. my questions are
Can I take it somewhere to get it tuned?
Do I have to buy a tuner?
if I do what's the best?
Do I need to have it plugged in at all times?

SuperChips is the reccomended tuner here...plug & play. It'll run you $300. It's one of my last performance mods I'm waiting on. Open up the intake and exhaust, then tune it with SuperChips. ;)

Dyno tune is the way to go.

Hand-held tuner is good but not as good as dyno tune. You only plug it in to load the tune to your ecm.

I would suggest tune as a first mod. IMO you will not be able to tell any difference with intake/exhaust but you will even with a hand-held tune.

Re: Questions about performance chips and tuning.

you have a 5.7...so you need a Diablo and a CMR tune. The best way to go on the 5.7. Its gonna cost a nice wad to do that though. The diablos do have stock "can" tunes....but the cmr is built for you. The Superchips cannot to custom tunes...but does have an optional tranny tuning.
