Broke off antenna

I had a parking garage gate come down on my jeep today and it sheered off my antenna from where it screws into the roof. Anyone know what this is going to be like to replace? I'm scheduling a repair next week and probably going to have the update to the transmission updated.

Thanks!

Re: Broke off antenna

many have removed the stock antenna to add the sharkfin....so someone may give you one for free. There should be about 100 stock antennas on here....LOL

You can also pick up a pure carbon fibre one for three dollars on eBay.

The stock antenna is about 20 bucks.

The same thing happened to my 2011 grand cherokee - antenna sheared of cracking the housing piece and cutting the antenna off at the screw. Any ideas as to what this cost to fix?

Re: Broke off antenna

I just backed out of my garage (didn't open properly) the garage door caught the antenna and ripped the entire unit out of the roof of the truck. It is at the PDR place right now to get the dent out of the roof and try to re-mount the entire unit. One of the wires was cut in the process and Jeep can't find the part to even sell the shop a new one. This is for a 2012 Overland and they say the wire that was cut is coax. Anyone have any idea what this wire is connected to?
