BT Catch Can for WK2

Billet Technology makes spectacular weaponry. Here's their flagship piece for the Hemi. It's like a jewelry box for sludge. Thanks to Robpp for his threads and photos of the BT goodness.

Here she is with the zbracket. Unfortunately, you'd have to either go without the engine cover, or cut the engine cover up too much to get this bracket to work at the accessory mount on the engine. So instead the BT CC gets mounted in it's traditional location on the bolt just slightly under and to the left of the throttle body.

The short black tube connecting the manifold to the PCV valve gets replaced with the tubing with the CC in the middle of it to collect blow-by instead of it getting circulated back into the Hemi. I saved the L shaped tube bracket and re-used it to connect the BT braided tubing to the CC for a better angle instead of looped tube.

The install is so clean and easy one can tell it is supposed to be here. I had to use two thin washers which is a bit ghetto but a snug nut would have been too thick for proper mount.

Yea, I had to disconnect the radiator hose clip and slide it up a bit. Looks like it will be OK there, but please chime in if you think this looks like it may cause coolant flow issues or heat problems.

Awesomesauce as my pal from SLC says. Props to BT, some more of their stuff is forthcoming.

Nice work! Did you trade the black one I sold you? lol

Thanks gents. Yes J, BT traded it no extra costs or questions.

Frank, the mounting bolt is just to the lower left of the throttle body circled in yellow. The CC threads right onto this bolt. The other mount that would require going without the engine cover is the cable tie anchor hole with yellow arrow. That would have allowed use of this slick zbracket, but can't fight the tape.

I didn't think that brand new engines were supposed to have any blow-by? Does this thing come apart so you can empty it on a regular basis? If so, let us know how much sludge or blow-by it collects over xxxx miles. Also, does this violate any emissions laws, or void the warranty?

Tanx for the notes folks. CC install is at 4,709 miles, will update over time.

Even if this thing is dry through 15k miles and 3 more oil changes, it's staying underhood for the pure festoonery of it.

The analogy is that special pair of Saturday night underwear. You may not need 'em, but you're gonna get suited up regardless.
