Re: blown tweets
So many good ones out there bro! I would stick with the "brand" that is being used throughout your Jeep.

Re: blown tweets
if you upgrade to aftermarket, use Bass blockers, ive gone through 2 sets of tweeters, and a member suggested i use bass blockers on the next set

Re: blown tweets
I would recommend you locate a 3.5" dash speaker that is TWO OHMS

this way you optimize the power!

not a whole lot of aftermarket 3.5s in 2 Ohms

If it was me, I would contact the dealer and get a set of the upgraded Kicker ones

they have the connectors ready to go and SHOULD be 2 Ohms if Im not mistaken......

Do you listen to your music loud?
do you like to crank up your system and not hear any static?
these are the absoulte loudest/clear powerfull speaker

a great price also.
these speakers might be 89$ but i promise you wont be disapointed

Re: blown tweets
I took out the 3.5 dash speakers. They are worthless to me.

I replaced them with actual hard dome tweeters. They give a clearer and more realistic sound. Especially when I have a DVD in.

I recommend Pioneer hard or soft dome tweeters. ~$30.

Re: blown tweets
did you put a crossover on those tweets?

do you have any links?

how did you mount them into the 3.5" hole?

Re: blown tweets
are you talking about these??

Re: blown tweets
No I did not put cross overs on them because most tweeters are now made with built in cross overs.

I have a picture of a metal braket screwed in there. You can do that or just simply place the tweeter on the center of the stock 3.5 speaker. You won't see a tweeter in the picture because I blew it. They were dirt cheap nonames. I'm going to be upgrading everything to Pioneer.

Just Google "Pioneer hard and soft dome tweeters". Hard for the harsh sound and soft for the smooth crisp sound. They will both be crisp either way.

Trust me, you will love the sound. 3.5 speakers are a waste.

Yes sir.

Pioneer is my favorite when it comes to auto electronics. Remember, hard for that harsh crisp high sound (that I love), soft for just a smooth sound. These tweeters give a realistic surround sound.

The Pioneer hard dome tweeters are high watt for all you that crank the volume. They handle more volume without a distorted sound.
