I was thinking...

...of picking up a set of 07-10 JK wheels, having them powdercoated flat black. I love those wheels and seems like a cheaper alternative to buying a set of aftermarket wheels. What do you all think? Will they work with a WK? I am still so clueless about wheels/tires. Just can't grasp the concept haha.

They will work. You have the 2005 WK so you won't need spacers to clear the brake caliper.

Or you can get these Mamba's. They are pretty cheap.

Those are nice, but I found a set of 5 JK Rubicon wheels shipped for $430 bucks. It seems hard to pass up lol.

Re: I was thinking...

Get them. I would. And they will fit without spacers without hitting the caliper. The caliper was changed a little on the 06 WK and spacers would be needed.

You should be fine.

Note: People have different experiences with their WKs. If the do for whatever reason, hit the caliper, you have options.

1.) Grind down the caliper just a little. It won't take much.
Or
2.) Add spacers which are pretty damn cheap.

I would go with option 1 because I just like to have my wheels and tires inside the wheel wells for a cleaner look.

What look are you going for?

This is black_out's WK. He has a 2" lift and the rubicon tires. 255/75/17 BFGoodrich Mud Terrains KM1 which is a 32" tire. I have the same tires.

They will fit without a lift and only rub at full lock. I've had these tires on for almost a month and haven't rubbed yet.

/\ that pic is with .25" spacers and i only had rubbing on the frame at full lock. i now run 1.25" spacers and folded the pinch weld. also my wheels are powdercoated so hopefully that gives you an idea on what they look like even though mine are gloss black rather than flat.
