PCV replacement = stalling?

What's up dudes! (Sorry, just havent used that one quite some time :) )

I have an 06 5.7 WK with 62K miles, did some maint including the PCV. It appears that we have a 50/50 shot when installing that, as there's a small vent hole on 1 side of the valve. Being a person that believes that everything goes perfect the 1st time (all the time), I just installed. Shortly after (even after removing the negative battery cable) my jeep stalls from time to time, moreso when i come to a stop. I've since turned it around and reset the neg batt cable. I havent had ANY issues since, although it's only been 1 day. Not knowing too much in that area, can anyone please confirm that behavior?

Thanks!!

UPDATE:

It just stalled coming up to a light: not sure if it's because of a more abrupt stop or if the trans isn't shifting out of gear or not. FYI - The maint that was performed was the typical 60K maint, minus spark plugs. Any info is welcome!

Not sure, but would not directly suspect a PCV valve for stalling problems. If you still have the old one, you could give it a try ofcourse. Was there something done on the throttle body, like cleaning Idle Air Control motor plunjer?
The tranny will not shift out of first gear when coming to a stop, its the torque converter which acts like a manual clutch (it is in fact a type of fluid coupling) and keeps a low torque on the drive line with the engine in idle. For that reason you have to keep your foot on the brake or put the shift lever in N.

06 t-body is ETC, and therefore NO IAC.
Do you have any DTC's stored in the pcm? I am an active CERTIFIED Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge technician. I can try to assist you if there are ANY oter secondary conditions.

Yeah, i did clean the back of the butterfly, but there wasnt much on there. One thing i did recently find/note: i had a VERY minor exhaust leak near a flange-point on my cat-back after noticing a vapor drip. I tightened it up and it seems to idle like a champ and not stall so far. I'll keep this situation updated, but thank you so much for offering help!!
