question on aftermarket srt rear bumper

in the next few months i want to get the srt body kit my question is,if you order the full kit will the rear bumper have the dual exhaust cut out in the center and can you convert the exhaust on a 08 hemi to fit,or do i have to lose the spare,or forget the rear and just get the front and sides

it would not work without a center exhaust, if you dont want that just go with front and sides

I had researched this as well. I wanted the lower rear bumper, but I did not want to lose the hitch. I did find a link on here of guys that used an aftermarket hitch that cuases the hitch to sit lower so it fits where the exhaust tips would otherwise be. Then they cut a hole in the bumper for the exhaust to come out in the normal location. IMO it looks pretty cool. It would take some work though customizing the exhaust cutout so that it looks clean. I will search for that thread and posted it here unless someone else beats me to it.

You will just have to get an aftermaeket hitch or drop hitch

Here is the thread I was talking about.

Take a look. What I think would look cool is using that "drop hitch" (as Scott described) and then have the exhaust come out through the bumper. I am still considering this for myself since I just added the Body kit (which includes SRT side skirts) so the rear bumper looks a bit off, not extending quite as low.

thanks guys,ya that made my mind up,but in your opinion do you think the side profile would look cheap or weird with just the front and sides? also i cant seem to find one but is there any other aftermarket rear out there

Ive always wanted someone to do this.

Keep your hitch in the SRT bumper slot, of course you would need to lower it to make it fit.

butttt, I would cut the bumper on the side, and have your exhaust come out the side of the bumper.

Just like the Dodge Ram trucks have in their sport models in the 05-06 years

Re: question on aftermarket srt rear bumper

that would be sweet, but alot of $$ on a already expensive mod, make the exhaust like the ford lightning

I have some pics of mine here in my last Mod post. you can see how it looks with the SRT side skirts without the rear bumper. I dont have the SRT front bumper (again I have the Mopar body kit), but it should still give you an idea. I dont think it looks bad. Not bad enough atleasst for it to be my priority.

Also, there si a company that makes a knock off SRT bumper, but it is not any differnt from the OEM besides of course being of lower quality. (same styling). Other than that I have never found any options. there is the startech, but that I dont hink would accomplish what you are after and you made mention to sensitivity to price and startech is very expensive.
