'11 GC Limited first impressions
Hi all Im new to the sight and have been looking hard at '11 GC.As a loyal Ford(sorry) owner for years we have been sure we would be looking to get a '11 Edge or Exploder until our nephew purchased a '11 Patriot a month ago, we were very impressed with the amount of features he got at that price point so we went and looked at the GC.First impression was that Jeep does a really great job with paint and panel fit, the overall look is very attractive. The interior uses a quality leather, soft touch plastics is nice, stereo sounds great with excellent speaker placement, nav is simple to use and effective and the ride is superb. I know most of you know all this but I am a newcomer to Jeep and wanted to let you all know that the new GC is something that you Jeep diehards should be proud and hopefully a great sign of things to come.
I liked the new JGC so much that I traded in my BMW for a new JGC OVERLAND SUMMIT, mineral gray, saddle/black interior. I test drove the '11 Explorer and 10 other SUV's and I ended up with this one. For the money, this is the best deal out there. Ford has come a long way, and they were runner up in my search for SUV's. I enjoyed driving the new Explorer, but I like simple electronics and a clean dashboard.
My suggestion is to wait for the 2011's to go on sale, and if you are a USAA member, take advantage of the car buying service. I got my Summit for 1000 under invoice and negotiated a great price on my trade. Sticker was 46775, I paid 42500...
Re: '11 GC Limited first impressions
yes we are waiting for rebates. That is the other thing I noticed that the GC has a wide range of admirers from young to old, to wealthy to middle class. Perhaps that is the "Jeep thing", I finally get it. I am also coming out of a BMW, 05 545 sport
