PCM no communication?

HELP
Jeep is acting out. Shutting off. It takes a while to turn back on. Engine light blinking. Took to a mechanic. Scanner can't establish connection with PCM on two different scanners. Now waiting for a 3rd scanner.

Maybe a clue... a week ago, I replaced, without disconnecting the battery, the HIDs relay harness and I grounded the right one to the ground screw at the engine bay right side panel, which now I assume, could be the PCM ground. Could that be it?

we all USE the grounds on the fenders.. thats not it.

did you do the key dance? to see if you get any codes that way

from what i read I would think its ther main harness where it goes into the jeep which is on the drivers side real low. lots of thoise lost communication codes are caused by this/

Did you check the connectors on the PCM? If the problem was only with the scanner connection, the jeep would at least run normally. Now these 2 problems combined would lead to think that there is some electrical connection problem with the PCM. I would disconnect the battery and then disconnect and clean the PCM connectors with electrical contact cleaner. Let them dry well before connecting again.
