New tires

I am contemplating going with 265/70/17 tires. If I do, do I need to get that same size spare for under the truck, or can I just use the stock size spare for emergency only? Also, will I have to modify my speedometer since the new tires are bigger than the old ones?

It's no big deal. Mine is 5mph off but you get use to it.

The stock size will be fine as a spare for emergency use only. As long as you don't keep it on there for a long period of time when you have a flat, it isn't going to hurt anything.

To fix yourr mph difference with the new larger tires, just goto your local Jeep dealer and have them do it, or buy a flashpaq from superchips.

Ok cool! Thank you for the replies! Any ideas on how thick the wheel spacers need to be?

Yeah, those are the ones I'm looking to get. If I go with the bigger tires will my traction control system be messed up, or the computer since its programmed for smaller tires with more revs?
