Re: Seriously? This must have been a bad coverup...

I can dig several hundred...I can't dig 500+

How lame...I wonder if thats the result of a prior accident? Carfax said 0 accidents, but then again who knows if something went unreported.

Yeah, I won't be going to any chain. I'm gonna take it to a local shop here in the town I live in.

^hadnt even considered that. Just looked like a rust chip to me (someone dings the panel, a small crack forms, water gets under and expands/compressed until the chip pops out and the rust is left underneath.

I actually have 0 magnets...but it sounds like metal when I knock on it.

Well bondo is hard also, just an idea. Swing it by a local auto body shop and have them estimate it. dont go to service king, maaco, or a chain unless you plan to pay out the A for repairs. It may just be a quick fix where the person prior didnt prep it right with primer, etc. Ask around in your town for a great repair shop that is cheap.

Scraped it a bit...definitely metal. Hopefully that makes it cheaper to repair. Going in at 7AM for an estimate.

Anyone care to place a wager? Perhaps O/U? I'm goin under $400.
