Throttle Response

Hey folks,

The speed limit here is 110km/h on the highway. I usually travell 120km. At that speed it seems that when I mash the throttle to pass another vehicle my tranny only comes out of overdrive to increase speed. It really feels underpowered and slow to gain an increase in speed.

My wk2 is an overland Hemi. Does anyone else experience this problem?? My WK limited with the same engine/trans combo kicks down to atleast 4th....sometimes 3rd from that speed and seems to have alot more "jam" The Overland makes me feel uncertain during acceleration at hiway speeds. It has tonnes of get up and go at anything less than 120 but from a hiway cruising speed to foot to the floor there doesnt seem to be much there.

Should I bring my JGC to the dealer for a service check or is this the way it is??

Thanks in advance for the input.

Re: Throttle Response

I have not noticed that in mine from any speed. I have the Hemi also and it seems to know what gear to pick. I will try it this week and pay attention to how it reacts though.
