Aftermarket Intake

Has anyone been able to find an aftermarket intake for the 3.0L yet? Airflow is so important and the stock system is well.. pathetic in my opinion.

I've been doing some reading on it and some say that the MB engine has 2 intakes..

Also that an aftermarket intake would be a bad idea and increase wear on engine and turbo..

Never saw a second intake and could not see how increasing the air flow would affect anything negatively. I would consider the chips that increase fuel pressure to be worse than a simple intake mod.

Re: Aftermarket Intake

dustout is a major cause for engine and turbo damage... furthermore if there is an indication of dustout (sandblasted turbine in the turbo, or scoring on the cylinder walls, at least here in the states that will likely cause a lack of warranty to repair.

I am just a dealer slackee so I speak what Im fed, but more airflow means that more crap can get through the filter. I would say remain factory ;)
