Screwy Electrical Issues

Took delivery of my 2011 GC about a month ago. Experienced all kinds of weird electrical issues. Navi resets, EVIC resets, key fob not found, alarm activations, etc.

Took it to the dealer and come to find out, the IOD [ignition off draw] fuse was not completely seated in the operating position. Once we pressed the fuse all the way down the problem was corrected. Easy fix.

Wanted to post in case someone else experiences this.

Other than that the Jeep is awesome!

Way to go, Flocker!

Good tip, but I really just wanted to use that handle of yours.

Congrats and welcome.

So where is the fues located? I would like to check mine. I have had "no key found? happen twice now in the last 2 weeks and the alarm went off for no reason.

Its going to be under the hood ont he passanger side in the tipm, its listed in your owners manual, but the IOD fuses (typically 2 fuses) are in a plastic shroud that basically holds them together. There is a yellow one that typically powers your ORC module (occupant restraint controller) which would be airbag type stuff. and another one maybe in a black plastic clip (I think I have seen some red in the chrysler line) that is typically going to be your IOD fuse(s). pull it up all the way and properly reseat it... note sometimes the fuse doesnt push into the tipm fully (the plastic retainer is broken and allows the fuse to float around), just take a pen or screw driver and press the back of the fuse (through the cage) to seat it fully.
