Water under seat

We are certainly enjoying our 2011 grand cherokee - very smooth and quiet. But our dealer' s service dept is haven't trouble figuring out our problem of hearing what sounds like water sloshing under the driver's seat. They have ordered a new gas tank. Makes little sense since it started 3 weeks ago (when we had to use our ac, and doesn't met any of the symptoms for a gas tank problem. Fortunately I came to this site and saw that water may collect under the driver's seat - and I was able to go find the water, so I'm off to the dealer now with a printout from jeepgarage. Thanks.

Drivers seat or passenger seat? Its more common to find it under the passenger seat but yes I do believe a member has seen it under the driver seat. My sunroof drain was clogged and it collected under the passenger seat.

BTW Welcome to the forums.. If you post this up in the WK2 forum you'd get a much larger audience as well..

mine was full of water because the ac drain line wasn't connected it took 1 week to fill up about 15 gallons of water, i made them reoplace the carpeting and they gAVE me a 24 month free maintenance package

I noticed water in my battery box again.. this is the second time, the first time was supposedly the sunroof.. I have started to use the A/C again the past two days or so and noticed I starting hearing water again.

Does anyone know, A/C drain line only fill up the battery box, or is it actually under the drivers seat? Where is this connection that isn't together?

My carpet is dry also, have all A/C line issues been with wet carpets?

I'm having the same issue... lots of sloshing under the driver seat. Does anyone know how to locate the plugs to remove the water?

Chrysler seems to be notorious for interior water issues. 07-09 Aspens also had this issue. Interior water issues in turn often causes electrical gremlins. It hasn't rained here in months, so mine has been dry.

Having the same problem, LOTS of water in the floor panel. There's a huge sloshing sound when brake/acelerate, I took it to the dealer and they didn't even look at the problem, they said the vehicle is probably not water tight (sunroof or windshield) and they don't do this type of repair.

It hasn't rain in months here so i think the ac drain is the problem, but can someone confirm it is located on the driver side?.

Had same problem and it wasn't coming from the fuel tank. Noise was definately coming from driver's side. Had pulled the floor pan plug previously on driver's side...see my youtube vid above. No rain. Went to carwash. On the way home, sloshing returned. Had to pull floorpan plug again. Decided just to leave it out since I don't go offroad or plowing through water for that matter. Have been slosh free for about a year now.

HVAC drain is on passenger side of the vehicle.

Thanks! I'll try the carwash to see if the sloshing comes back.

HVAC drain is on drivers side (LH drive) underneath vehicle just below where the gas pedal is located.
