Summit Edition Wood Trim

Hey,

Does anyone know if the black cherry trim in the Summit is available as a "replacement" part from the dealer? I had a 300C in which I changed all of the turtle shell wood trim to the black cherry which looked awesome. Since mine is a Limited, it has the burlwood (with black interior). The pieces for the dash seem pretty replaceable, but I'm just concerned I would have to buy new door panels. I don't really want a dash kit since it would cover up the nice chrome accent under the wood...

You should be able to buy the individual pieces, but I don't know if they have a single part number for all of them as a kit. If you have an Overland, you'll have to replace the steering wheel as well, which would probably include the price of a new airbag.

Re: Summit Edition Wood Trim

I have seen NIB replacement steering wheels for the 2011 Overland for sale on ebay and they are factory parts for around $250. I have yet to see the Summit wheel for sale but would think it would be for a similar price. They do not have the airbag or the steering wheel controls with the part. It is strictly just the wheel.
Love to hear if anyone has indeed replace the trim with the Summit's.

The door pieces are heat-staked so you would have to get all new door panels, however the summit edition panels are black and brown saddle.
