I need Help
 
Hi guys,
I just got my 2006 4.7 grand cherokee, and i need your help to fix some problems.

- the cruise control is not working.
- fuel consumption, it is a disaster, only 170 miles/full tank !!!:eek:
- RPM fluctuation on P and N shift

disconnect the battery and hold your foot on the brake for 30 sec... for starters.

sounds like the egr or cat converter is going bad. Check the cables on the throttle body for the cruise

I understand the battery part, but brakes for 30 secs???

Completely drains all the power in the vehicle!

thanks for the replies.

i toke it to the dealer and they said that the spark plugs are dead, and throttle body need to be cleaned, within three hours they will finish, I’ll copy and post the report.
The said it will cost 230$.
Regarding to the cruise control problem they said that there is an error in the ABS system as the computer shows, I hope it will work after clearing and re-programming the car’s computer.

I was going to say clean the throttle body and make sure they do the software update for the idle issue.
