Whats in the Billet catch can

Does anyone happen to know what element and/or technique the billet version uses to separate the oil? ie an angled/height difference, an extended tube(anti siphon design), a mesh wire medium, or baffle plates???? I'm not trying to bash or cheapen the value of the product, I'm just trying to figure out what makes it so much more expensive then other universal ones. I know a good majority of the cheap ebay versions simply rely on "gravity" saying that the oil will precipitate out or other ones that put the intake and discharge ports at 90 degree angles so the oil is "blown" into the side of the can and drips down...

What makes the polo shirt better than the $5 WalMart shirt? -The horse.

Haha. But good question, although I'm sure their products are worth the extra coin than the other ones.

In the volkswagen forums, people would buy a cheapo or make a cheapo and use Brillow pads to catch and condense the oil.

Heck, Dino from jeepsunlimted forums used a soup can. http://www.angelfire.com/my/fan/Catch_can.html

misfit, yea thats what Ive always done in the past is bought a cheapo and added a SS brilo pad or some other baffling type device.

4.whoa thanx for the pic, how close to the top does that baffle sit? Looks like the Billet is built correctly!

The pic is of the top.the screen is bolted to the divider.it's maybe 1" -1 1/2"
the air comes in one side through the mesh to the divider, down through the screen and up through the other side. again through the screen then the mesh. the bottom is just a empty can.
