Detailing DC/NOVA/MD area
My Jeep is 2 weeks old and I have read alot of the threads about hand washing, waxing etc. No way I will have time to spend on weekends doing a good job. I can manage a quick car wash and vacuuming but I'm looking for a place to get it done professionally. Any one have any recomendations for the above area. Thanks

PS This is an outstanding vehichle. I look forward to driving back and forth to work. How sick is that!

Just met a guy yesterday who is a moble detailer. Really good guy and has very fair rates. Plus he will take as long as it takes to get it perfect. He quoted me $260 to do mine, said probly 8 hrs is what he would need on it cause my baby is all messed up from the winter.

I HIGHLY recommend DJ mayo from Reflections Detailing (Gainesville, VA) www.. He does outstanding work and can do everything from something basic, new car preps and full details. Check out one of his details here -

Thanks all.
I contacted DJ Mayo and Gainesville's a bit of a stretch. He doesn't have a mobile option.
I settled on Cliff who came by today. I must say he did an outstanding job. He's coming back to do my 91 Acura. What do you think?

Thanks again Chris. Yes he remembers your SRT. BTW your number for him is 1 digit off. It is 877 323 2326 if anyone's interested.

Did he do a paint correction? Expain what he did to your Jeep! It looks great!

I knew he did a great job and what he did in general but not in any detail and so I contacted him to get chapter and verse.
"WASH - Bugs and tar pre-treated with Stoner Tarminator followed by EcoSmart (by Chemical Guys) waterless car wash (diluted using DI water) sprayed using the BOSS low pressure spray system and wiped off using premium 70/30 polyester/polyamide blend microfiber towels.
PAINT CORRECTION - Meguiars mild detailing clay followed by Meguiars DA microfiber paint correction system (compound and finishing wax using the appropriate pad). Since the paint was pretty good, I used the PC 7274XP orbital. For rougher paints I would use the Flex DA for the compounding step. Finish with Meguiars #21 synthetic paint sealant.

INTERIOR - Meguiars leather cleaner/conditioner and Meguiars Hyper Dressing diluted for a natural / satin finish.

also used other Meguiars products throughout the detail (all-purpose cleaner, all season dressing, last touch detail spray, etc... use color coded microfibers to prevent cross contamination and have several specialty brushes and tools for any need. "

He was also on time, seems always available and obviously willing to answer questions. Other thing I noticed is that the original finish was a little gritty. Now it is very smooth. Thanks again to Chris,. Great find
