Yup I had the same problem. It was like once I hit highway speed the tranny wouldn't kick down when I mashed on the throttle. I first disconnected the battery overnight then tried the steps in the link above and it's much better now. not sure if disconnecting the battery was necessary but my end result was positive.

so your getting a kickdown above 60mph?

spiros,

You had a response to a post of mine in another thread that was closed. To answer your question, when you're in 60 and you need to pass but don't feel the Jeep is responding when you start to step on it, you're in overdrive = 5th most likely at 60 mph, so if you push the stick to the left once it will limit your top gear to 4th, and you will get the power you need, without even stepping harder on the accelerator.

Or tap twice left if you're in OD (overdrive) and want to go down to 3rd, although your RPMs will really jump, and it might not be necessary to go down two gears. Remember to tap the stick to the right to go back up in gears. The display where the spedometer is will display what gear you have it limited to.

when a tuner for you all is released it will help A LOT!
but for the mean time your computer will adapt to your driving.
when im driving my hemi and i want it to launch i start driving it hard through the power bands. give it some launches and stay on the rpms high for about 20 mins of that style driving then your computer will learn how your driving now and LAUNCH.

it returns to a laggy connection after when i start driving like a grandma to save gas.

works for me everytime

I read the directions. 2 questions:

1. Do you press the accelerator all the way to the floor?

2. He says depending on how/fast/slow it will change the responsiveness.
Which does what? If I step on it fast and let it up does that increase or decrease responsiveness?

Thanks!
