3.7 running rough, ideas?

Buddy's wife has an 08 3.7 with 62,000 miles. Engine is running rough, no CEL. He's going to run through a tank of fuel with injector cleaner...then?
Does the 3.7 benefit from throttle body removal and cleaning like the V8's?
Any maintenance advice to help rough running? I'll keep searching posts. TIA

Does it idle rough? It could be your EGR valve.

EDIT: Fuel system service or clean the throttle body manually. I personally wouldn't mess with seafoam.

Thanks guys, if the fuel additive does not work we'll clean the throttle body, then change the EGR, etc. I don't know anything about 3.7's but they don't seem to be to buggy.

Update. The injector cleaner helped. Maybe it was bad gas??? We will also clean the TB.

Also change the plugs unless you have done so recently. I thought mine were changed at 30,000 and my 3.7 started idling rough and surging once in a while. Turned out the dealer never changed them. Had them changed and its been fine ever since.

^^^ I hope they updated the PCM for the surging also.
