Overland/Hemi with 29ft travel trailer

Installed electrical braking system this weekend and hauled the family travel trailer...

29ft, dry weight 4,860 lb, GVWR 7500 lb, Hitch weight 620 lb...

I am very pleased with the results! the air suspension is doing a great job, so is the Hemi.

Roger that, nice rig man. That JGC is also most stylin in Silver. +rep for repping a proper big rig. Any wind challenges with that trailer?

Thanks for that info. I've got a boat and trailer but have not hauled yet. What elec. brake system do you use ?

This is a great post! Doubt there is 'any' hitch or 'tongue' weight with that EZ lift system you have!

Great looking rig! I see you have a WDH and that makes all the difference once you get past 4000 lbs and 500 lbs of tongue weight. The WK2 works very well as a tow vehicle and that combo looks like it should be in their literature :)

Re: Overland/Hemi with 29ft travel trailer

Please be very careful towing a trailer that long with your GC. Even though the Hemi can handle the weight, the wheelbase on this car is not long enough to safely tow a trailer that long. Your major problem is gonna be sway. It wont take much of a cross wind to have the 'Tail wagging the dog.' About the only hitch to prevent sway in this situation is a Hensley. Very expensive, but worth it !

Im sorry to be the fuddy-duddy on this thread, but I also surf a few RV forums (own a trailer myself), and have seen unfortunate pics of these situations.

That photo looks like trouble. Isn't the control blocking the airbag in the knee bolster? Page 66 in the owner's manual (the one they don't include) warns about this.
