Radio intermittently uses only one speaker

I've just noticed that every so often the radio will switch to using just the one front speaker instead of all of them. It also happens with phone calls if I use Bluetooth while this is occurring.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Of course, I brought it into the dealership and the problem would not occur for them, since it is intermittent.

Thanks

Is this happening when navigation is active? Sounds like the norm for me when I have a route selected and the system outputs the guidance directions on the drivers side while maintaining current media output on the pass side. Check you nav volume settings if so.

It is not associated with the navigation system. I rarely use this, anyway. It seems to occur intermittently and without any rhyme or reason.

I've had it checked out by the dealer. The did find error codes in the computer. Unfortunately, even with the codes they had no idea what was wrong as they couldn't get the problem to occur when they had it.

They are going to contact Chrysler to see if anyone else has reported this.

Hopefully they can figure it out and correct it.

This may be useful, or not.

Remove all assoiated devices that you have in the AUX and unplug and other devices that may be connected to the USB. See if the issue is still ongoing. If it is gone reconnect each device one at a time to figure out which device is causing the problem.

I had a similiar issue the first day of ownership and it was a bad pairing with my Samsung Epic that was causing the issue.
