Idea for the rear cargo area

Has anyone removed the floor panel and replaced it with 3/4 ply sheet? Now that I will have more space, I was planning on making a locking tool drawer and still have a flat surface for groceries or other best buy runs.. http://www.jeepforum.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
I want to have my tools and 3 ton floor jack well organized and put away nicely with plenty of space for anything and to clean it up back there.

Has anyone done something like this?

I want to do it, but Idk It looks to unfinished to me.. I want to the extra space But I like the storage below. Maybe I will make some custom cut outs for my tripods because I keep them in my truck.

I removed the stock cargo floor in mine and made a floor, so I could install my two amps.

Im not exactly sure what your looking to do, but I completely removed the stock cargo floor because it is basically all plastic extrusions and wanted to install my amps hidden away. I got the idea from an srt owner who did the same thing. I did a write up on this site with pictures how I did it. I think it is in the how to do section on how I built a false cargo floor.

I did. Ill try to find the page link. It seriously came out great, looks completely stock to anyone who see's it, and cost under $50 with already having the tools.
