Affiliate pricing

I've heard about it, but never figured out how to get it.
Here is some info given to me by my dealer:

Quote:

You might know about this, but I found a way to get a discount on every new Chrysler Jeep Dodge product, a rebate that you will always qualify for. Check out http://www.treadlightly.org/

If you join Tread Lightly, I think it cost like $25 or something, you can get a control number, and qualify for affiliate pricing on all new CJD models. The Affiliate Price is listed on everyone of my invoices. It is 1% below the listed invoice price. You must be a member of tread lightly for a minimum of 30 days before purchase, and I have to prove that in order to claim the incentive
Seems like a no brainer for $25 for 1% below invoice. :)

Here's more:

http://www.treadlightly.org/page.php/chrysler_discount

Exclusive Member Benefit
All Tread Lightly! Individual Members Can Now Receive
a Significant Discount on All Chrysler, Jeep, Ram, and Dodge Vehicles

Chrysler has recently expanded its partnership with Tread Lightly! and has now made the organization part of its Affiliate Rewards program.

Now all Tread Lightly! Individual Members can take advantage of the Chrysler Affiliate Rewards Program and drive away with the Preferred Price* (1% below factory invoice) on your next new Chrysler, Jeep® Dodge or Ram Truck purchase or lease. You’ll find that Affiliate Rewards savings– combined with current incentives† – give you a price that’s up to thousands of dollars below MSRP.‡

Here’s how:

1) Become a Member of Tread Lightly! for $60. Only 3-year Individual Members are eligible.

2) Visit www.chrysleraffiliates.com or call (888) 444-4321 to learn more about the program and to obtain your Control Number. You’ll need the Tread Lightly! Company Code, which you will receive in your Tread Lightly! membership letter upon joining or renewing (The membership letter will be in your membership packet which is mailed out each Friday).

3) Take your Control Number, along with the letter you received in your membership package to any U.S. Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge dealership. You MUST have your Tread Lightly! membership letter in order to receive the discount. If you have lost your letter, please email treadlightly@treadlightly.org. to request a replacement.

4) Ask for a copy of the vehicle invoice, and you’ll see the Preferred Price (PP) clearly listed. To see how much you can save, check out this sample pricing (prices will vary according to current incentives).

5) Drive away in your new vehicle!

*The Preferred Price is the maximum amount to be charged by a participating U.S. dealer for an eligible vehicle. See dealer for details. A $75 administration fee applies. †Current incentives apply at time of offer. ‡The MSRP is the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price. MSRP excludes tax. Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge are registered trademarks of Chrysler LLC.

Re: Affiliate pricing

Seems like a great deal (maybe a little too good)

Will they at some point add the fine print (except for SRT vehicles)?

I know they say all but....

Anyone else joining to get the discount?

Already joined a few months ago in anticipation. I am so freaking excited to get my new SRT WK2.

Re: Affiliate pricing

I just signed up for $60. It says all Jeep vehicles. Not going to risk them closing off the SRT to future members.

I would agree, but my dealer told me he'd honor it.

Let me know if you need to talk to a decent dealer and I'll send you his info.

Nothing different than the GMS price I get due to my father. Dealer's are NOT required to honor the GMS/Affiliate pricing. They do so at their own choice. Special pricing is generally never honored on new, highly anticipated vehicles or vehicles that are selling at a high demand. Your best chance is at a super high volume dealer, or one that you have had a long relationship with that would like to return the favor to you.

My question is: What does " 3-year Individual Members are eligible" mean?? I take that to mean you must have been an individual (one person enrolled) member of Tread Lightly for 3 years before you can receive the first Affiliate Pricing Vehicle (it would prevent people from doing exactly what is occurring in this thread). in other words, no affiliate pricing for your new SRT8 purchase until 16 May 2014.

This is incorrect. 3-year Individual means it must be an individual person, not a corporation or LLC, and it means you signed up for the 3-year (or lifetime) membership with tread lightly. The offer is active in 30 days from signing up for the individual 3 or lifetime membership (just follow the directions).

Hmm, OK, that wording to me was difficult to understand. I think I was looking too much for the "lawyer speak" in it.

Re: Affiliate pricing

It's been used by people on this forum for the new 2011 WK2 and they stated that they just signed up for it and payed and got the control number. Someone even said their dealer didn't make them wait 30 days.
