HID kit?

I want to convert my lights to HID as my next project but unable to find a step by step process to doing it for the WK. I want to do it but i would much rather do it myself than pay someone to do it.

Is there a secret hidden write-up sent from the heavens that i just cannot find?

I am interested in getting down and dirty to learn how to do it but i would prefer and easier process in which i don't have to sand and rewire and take apart just about everything.

WOW that looks overwhelming, is it easier than it looks?

Re: HID kit?

its kind of a pain but def worth doing it yourself... you have to remove the grill and front bumper... in order to get behind the lights you have to remove those as well or at least un bolt them so you can get behind there... if you have never done any of that before, look for a thread i posted a while back on how to install tow hooks, i pretty much explain how to do all that in the thread. once you are all done those lights are amazing, i have the HID 6K and they are awesome!

edit: fog lights are much easier to do than the headlights... you just gotta find a spot to mount the ballasts

The only difference eight the Xenon Depot kit is that it will be a double relay harness.

Re: HID kit?

HID kits are gravy to install. You dont have to remove the bumpers or headlights at all.

I had to remove the grille to install the headlight HIDs and the bumper to do the fogs. It wasn't a difficult install at all. I'm not very good with wiring or electronics at all and it all made easy sense to me. Just make sure you ground the system well where you are suppose to and secure all the wiring so that it doesn't hang down.

Yea the Hemi does take up more room... Haha jk Scottie! :P

Easy to do maing. It'll take ya 30 min ish. I left the headlights and the bumper on and just maneuvered my hands around and that's it. Easy mod!
