730rhr and gracenote

I thought that the 730rhr had gracenote and I could say "play Beatles" and it would play. Am I missing something as I can't seem to figure this out.

Re: 730rhr and gracenote

The RHR does have Gracenote database info, but it is in no way tied to voice commands. You can't use commands like "Play Beatles" unfortunately, but again that has nothing to do with Gracenote.

The Gracenote database is used to apply artist/album/song title information when you rip a CD from the RHR's CD player to its hard drive.

Re: 730rhr and gracenote

so on WK2jeeps.com page for navigation radios (http://wk2jeeps.com/wk2_navigation.htm#RHR) lists for RHR:

Quote:

Voice Command - Automatic Phonetic Transcription (G2P)
Voice Command - Destination input
Voice Command - Extended VR for most popular POIís
Voice Command - Gracenote music files
Voice Command - Gracenote menu commands ("Play Beatles", "Play more like this")
Voice Command - Hang up/dial/receive calls/ignore calls
Voice Command - Improved POI search using fuzzy logic
Voice Command - Manual dialing pad via touch screen
Voice Command - Navigation
Voice Command - Phone, radio & music
Is this SPEC just incorrect? I've always found Wk2jeeps to be pretty reliable.

Re: 730rhr and gracenote

Yeah, unfortunately that's wrong. One other thing mentioned there is "enhanced graphics/speed" vs. the RER. I can't speak to the speed, but the graphics are pretty much identical to the RER. That WK2Jeeps site is maintained by Milous, a regular around here and an awesome contributor. I think he just got some bad info on the RHR.

Re: 730rhr and gracenote

Thanks swampass2. Not having that isn't a concern to me, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something in my new Jeep. The feature would be nice, but I'll manage without it!
