24 Hour clock?

Can't seem to find this option in either the EVIC or 430 settings. Am i missing something or not available?

I haven't tried it, but here's what the 430N manual says (page 115):

On the NAV screen, pick "Settings" (the wrench icon).
Touch "Time".
Time Format - select a 12-hour, 24-hour or UTC time format.

(If you really have a 430 instead of a 430N, you don't have NAV and this won't work.)

Re: 24 Hour clock?

i have 400N.

I *believe* your method will change the clock format in the nav software only. I will check and confirm - I hope you're right!

Thanks.

I played around a bit with it last night. I couldn't even locate the time option on the nav setup. I'll give it a look this weekend, but I'm thinking its not possible. :(

With the radio on, you'll see these soft buttons along the top of the touch screen: AM, FM, SAT on the left, and NAV in the upper-right corner. If you don't see NAV, you don't have a 430N. If you do see it, touch it to get a screen with big icons for "Where To?" and "View Map" and smaller icons for "Settings" and "Tools". Touch "Settings".

I believe you just touch the time to get time options.

I should have been more specific - I am easily able to access the nav settings. The problem is, there is no "time" option on the settings page (see attachment).

This was the first place I looked. There are options here to change from "user" to "GPS Time", options on how to display DST, etc. But no 24 hour clock option.

You're right! I checked both the RER and RHB and there are no 24hr options.

I concur, now that I've had a chance to try it. The owner's manual is fantasy.
