I have to admit it...

...that I now really do like the keyless system, power liftgate, and remote start.

I had pretty much dismissed these features as unnecessary - they kinda are - but they have proven to be very nice and useful.

The keyless entry took a week or two to get use to. The power liftgate is really nice to remotely open as approach the vehicle. The remote start is nice to have the A/C already cooling off the interior (in Florida).

Gotta also put a  for the blindspot detection system....VERY useful and convenient....a safety feature that helps you keep your eyes forward more than without the feature.

keyless is a great feature. only unfortunate part is that now you must have it on every next car you have for the rest of your life.

I've had auto closing hatch on previous cars before and never liked it - in all honestly, I can close the hatch and be on my way faster doing it myself. That was one of the features i didnt need which helped me check the Limited off my list. Does the Jeep's close at a reasonable rate?

I LOVE the keyless entry system. It is one of the better ones that I used. I loved it so much that I was thinking about trading my Liberty in for a WK2 after I had to turn in my rental WK2. The only thing that stopped me was that the Liberty was more useful and my Liberty trade-in value really went out the window about .0001 seconds after that deer that I smacked went into the air

I agree with Dan. I had never had keyless before the Touareg and that spoiled me. it had the power liftgate but no remote start. The Jeep implementation of both the power liftgate and remote start are great, I've really become spoiled. The ability to CLOSE the liftgate with the key is something the Touareg and many others lack, it's very convenient.

Overall the keyless operation is executed very well, better than a lot of other luxury vehicles IMHO.

I think it does open and close at a reasonable rate in my opinion. I click it in the parking lot and it is open by the time I get there...I wait until I am in view and probably is fully open if I hit open about 20 ft away. Closing is fast enough too...by the time you walk away you can see it close and latch. It is a convenient feature.

I like it when putting my jetski in the water, I dont have to get out of the truck to open the liftgate. When Im done hit the button and it closes.

ah! ... i didnt realize you could do it with the key in the WK. My experience has been with trucks and wagons that you must push a button on the vehicle itself to open or close. Then i'm stuck standing there waiting for the motor to do something i could have done better myself. I can certainly see the advantage of having it on the key.

Yep....it is on the FOB and buttons on the inside too (by upper center console and in cargo area....plus if you lift handle or close manually, it will take over. I find I can activate the remote start and liftgate from far away in a parking lot so I usually do the remote start to cool off from far away and press the FOB for liftgate as I get close. Works great!

i agree with you these features were immensely important to my wife but not to me.. now all of the sudden i can't remember life without them.

another one - lowering the vehicle at egress. it sounds useless but when you have a 2 yr old and grandparents getting in and out it has become another fan favorite.
