passenger rear door uneven....

2 Attachment(s)
Below are pics of my rear passenger/driver side door. As you can see with the door closed, the passenger side sticks out. The drivers side is ok as you can see from the pic. I can't remember if this was like this from the beginning, but I probably would have noticed it if it was. Anyone else have this on the rear door?

Passenger side(uneven): Drivers side(ok):

The latch or the striker? The striker is the part that's bolted to the door jam. I didn't know the latch can be adjusted.

I noticed the same problem on my Limited except that it is the drivers door that is uneven with the quarter panel. The edge of the quarter panel extends slightly out compared to the edge of the door. Will the dealer be able to adjust?:confused:

In Detroit's salad days, each assembly facility had a windowless room where vehicles with misaligned doors, hoods and trunks were taken. There, human Godzillas with massive biceps and rubber mallets would twist, heave and beat the offending parts until they lined up reasonably. :eek:

Crude, but it worked. Gotta wonder if they still do that now.
