Help with Moto Metal 951 offset

I am in the middle of ordering new wheels for my lift. My dealer says that I can use 17" moto metal 951's because there is too much offset???

Regardless, i have seen others on this site using moto metal 951's. what gives?

Iím using them, they stick out but other than that they are perfect. They have even solved rubbing issues that I had....

When I bought them at 4wheeldriveparts.com the specs said offset:12mm and backspace 5.47, but when I got the wheels the spec on the box were offset: -12mm and backspace: 4.53.

Now they have corrected the specs... The same thing should happen to summitracing, it seems they have the specs wrong.

Thanks guys! the dealer guy was telling me a little list that didn't concern me why not to use them: police bugging you, safety, concerns about being ashamed about letting something off the lot like that (wow).

I was really excited about getting them too.
Jlewissystem, your picture was the only one I could find of a WK with the wheels earlier in a post about pinch welding and you indirectly sold me on them.

massster, if had seen yours, you would have done the same.

I'm stuck with KMC XD 795's... hope they grow on me.

P.s. they were only recommending XD 795 and 798's... which was weird and maybe foreshadowing the fact that my dealership that i love, in fact, does not know about what they are about to do. :worried:

I am starting to like the 951's do you guys have a picture showing the wheels sticking out? I think they would look bad ass on a bigger WK with wider tires! :)

Awesome! thanks. I'd like to get together someday and try one of your wheels on and see if they go well with khaki if you would be up for it.. :)

You wouldn't be available today would you? I might just have the funds for my wheels sooner than I thought! :)
